With Donostia-San Sebastian named this year’s European Capital of Culture, Fipa is placing its focus on Spain.

With a selection of some ten programmes including drama, series, and documentaries, the festival will showcase a wide variety of productions from the country’s ever-evolving audiovisual world.

Fipa Industry is the scene for discussions on Spanish, Catalan, and Basque TV that will highlight opportunities for co-productions by providing feedback on previous experiences and through presentations of public and private broadcasters’ editorial lines.

Many Spanish drama series are currently being exported for foreign audiences, and when we perform a comparative analysis, it becomes clear that certain stakeholders are striving to create a whole new form of Mediterranean thriller.
