Noma

Return
Noma is a young black woman that represents a huge portion of the post-apartheid South African youth: surviving with a precarious job, living in a township, renting a shack that she shares with her family. She aims to build a house in a new slum. Together with other people in her same situation she decides to build in private land. During an eviction, Noma's shack is destroyed. She rebuilds it but next day a violent eviction occurs, this time Law Enforcement officers fire live ammunition.
