The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe

Return
In a theatre piece, Ros Horin tells the story of four women: one was used as a sex slave by rebels, one was abused as a child, another one grew up in the brutal world of the army, and the last one grew up in a refugee camp. Until then, they suffered in silence. Shot over 5 years, the film follows the women from tentative, painful beginnings through to the unexpected and thrilling public triumph of their theatre show. No longer victims, they have found their voices and have an important message to spread.
